5 Supplements Reduce the Impact of Cellphone Radiation

Impact of Cellphone Radiation

Accumulating evidence suggests long-term exposure to cellphone radiation. Cellphone radio frequency (RF) radiation may be linked to a variety of health concerns, from headaches and skin rashes to DNA fragmentation.

Fortunately, there are ways to mitigate the potentially harmful effects linked to the electromagnetic frequencies continuously broadcast by both cellphone devices and base stations.

Melatonin

Like many other hormones, melatonin could decline with age, which may result in the loss of a safe, natural protection against cellphone radiation. In a 2004 study, researchers from Suleyman Demirel University, Turkey, reported that experimental animals exposed to cellphone radiation experienced detrimental changes in skin health—including atrophy, basal cell cancer, impairment of collagen, and overgrowth of capillaries.

Most of the cellphone radiation-induced damage was substantially reduced or prevented with melatonin.1 Similarly, according to a comparative study examining the effects of cellphone radiation on skin histology, ongoing exposure may contribute to oxidative stress-mediated skin damage. Researchers reported, “Rats irradiated with 900 MHz [a common cellphone frequency] suffer from increased fibrosis and lipid peroxidation (LPO)…. Melatonin treatment can reduce the fibrosis and LPO caused by radiation.”2

A 2008 study titled Melatonin Reduces Oxidative Stress Induced by Chronic Exposure of Microwave Radiation from Mobile Phones in Rat Brain reported, “…Mobile phones caused oxidative [brain] damage…Treatment with melatonin significantly prevented oxidative damage in the brain.”3

Additionally, in 2012, researchers from the University of Niš, Serbia, wrote, “Microwave radiation causes body mass decrease and anxiety related behavior in rats; however, melatonin causes a reverse of those effects on both body weight and behavior of irradiated animals.”4

Frequent cellphone users might consider working with a natural medicine practitioner to check melatonin levels. Presently, the best way to do this is with a urine collection for 24 hours. Unless the melatonin level is above median, it may be beneficial to supplement at bedtime.

Vitamin D

In 2016, researchers at an Egyptian university reported that after thirty days of exposure to cellphone radiation for one hour each day, experimental animals had significant decreases in immune globulins (IgA, IgE, IgM, IgG), white blood cells (total leukocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils, and basophils), and significant increases in neutrophils and monocytes.5

The group of animals exposed to cellphone radiation along with vitamin D did not experience these effects. The researchers concluded, “Exposure to mobile phone radiation compromises the immune system in rats, and vitamin D appears to have a protective effect.” Again, individuals who regularly use cellphones should consider checking vitamin D status.

American Ginseng (Panax quinquefolius)

American ginseng was found to prevent damage to the liver cells of experimental animals exposed to four hours of cellphone radiation for twelve days. Damage included atrophy or even disappearance of the nucleus of the liver cells and a decrease in the antioxidant content of liver cells. These adverse changes were prevented by American ginseng delivered at the same time as the radiation.6

Rosemary Extract

When using cellphones, individuals often hold the device close to the parotid glands (often called salivary glands) located at the angle of the jaw. Egyptian and Saudi Arabian researchers examined the effects of cellphone radiation (four hours daily for thirty days) on the parotid glands of experimental animals.7

One group of animals was exposed to the radiation only while another group was exposed to radiation plus rosemary extract. In the radiation-only group, many adverse changes in the parotid gland cells were observed with both a regular and electron microscope. In the radiation and rosemary group, the parotid cell damage was substantially reduced.

Indian Mulberry

Morinda officinalis, or Indian mulberry, is often used in traditional Chinese medicine for kidney “yang” deficiency and related male impotence. A Chinese research group found that this botanical protected the production of luteinizing hormone (the pituitary hormone that stimulates testosterone production by testicles) and luteinizing hormone receptors (the receptors in the testicles that are stimulated by LH).

The researchers wrote, “[Morinda] can improve cellphone radiation induced abnormality of luteinizing hormone and luteinizing hormone receptors in adult male rats.” Of note, the study found that the water extract was more effective than an alcohol extract.

For women, luteinizing hormone stimulates progesterone by contacting luteinizing hormone receptors. It’s theoretically possible, although not proven, that one of the many reasons for earlier menopause may be related to exposure to cellphone radiation.

BioGeometry against Cellphone Radiation

BioGeometry is a traditional science revived in the 20th century by Ibrahim Karim, DSc—a consultant to the Egyptian Minister of Scientific Research. There are many evidence-based applications available for BioGeometry, including protecting against and reversing the effects of cellphone irradiation.

BioGeometry uses very precise shapes, strategically placed to neutralize (aka harmonize) adverse effects of cellphone and other harmful radiation.

Community Exposure

A cellphone tower had been installed in a church tower in Hemberg, Switzerland. Within months, many residents started complaining about adverse effects, including sleeping disorders, fatigue, cognitive impairment, irritability, migraines, allergies, neck and shoulder pain, vision disturbances, sexual problems, hyperactivity, poor concentration, hair loss, tinnitus, vertigo, and nausea.

In 2003, Karim was hired by the Swiss Mediation Authority for Mobile Communication and Environment in conjunction with the telecommunications provider Swisscom to implement BioGeometry energy-balancing solutions to remedy the cellphone radiation sensitivity.

Post BioGeometry, many of the ailments were alleviated and there was a positive impact on the overall ecology of the area—a phenomenon dubbed “The Miracle of Hemberg” by the Swiss media. Karim was later commissioned by the Swiss town of Hirschberg to implement a similar measure to reverse the adverse effects of cellphone radiation.

Swiss TV Channel 1 created a documentary, “The Miracle Healer,” which showcased the benefits of BioGeometry in eliminating electro-sensitivity and positively impacting local livestock—a major source of income in the region.

BioGeometry has also been shown to be equally effective in relieving hepatitis C and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, improving crop yields, and boosting growth and quality of poultry. To learn more about the many benefits of BioGeometry, visit https://www.biogeometry.ca/dr-ibrahim-karim.

Ultimately, there are many ways to safeguard against the negative effects of cellphone radiation—it’s wise to choose the option(s) that seem appropriate—and affordable—and implement them now. ?
